Growing Together "As One"

Growing Together "As One""And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:11-13)

I want to talk on unity here. This scripture says "Till we all come in the unity of the faith". If we're ever going to truly advance the kingdom of God, if we're ever going to transform our communities, cities and nations for Christ, we're going to have to grow up together "as one" Body of Christ.

His Purpose is the Whole, Not the Parts

Take up Your cross for God's WholenessWhile praying one morning; God revealed the most simple, but wonderful thing to my spirit - Every activity we are involved in is about the creation of relationship. The other effects which those activities produce, all of them, are secondary. They are simply pieces of a platform upon which relationship is designed to be built. Selah

These secondary purposes are highly important yet only exist to the degree that they provide a platform for true spiritual relationship to come to pass. That is their entire purpose for existing. The problem is that we tend to place these structural platforms ahead of their God-designed purpose for existence - The reconciled wholeness of the Body of Christ in her relational union with God as one.
